Copyright Complaint Policy

It is the policy of TucanHosting to respond expeditiously to claims of intellectual property infringement. TucanHosting will promptly process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and will take appropriate actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and other applicable intellectual property laws. Upon receipt of notices complying or substantially complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, TucanHosting will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to any material claimed to be infringing or claimed to be the subject of infringing activity, and will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to any reference or link to material or activity that is claimed to be infringing.

To file a copyright infringement claim, please email support@tucan.biz after following the steps below in an email:

• Identify in sufficient detail the copyrighted work that you are submitting a claim upon. You can include the original URL, the ISBN and title, or proof of the work (screenshots, titles, names)
• Identify the material that you claim is infringing upon the rights of the Intellectual Property Owner.
• Include examples whenever possible of both works, whether this be a print out attached in PDF, or a screenshot.
• Provide all necessary contact information for the Intellectual Property Owner [or both, you and the Intellectual Property Owner, if you are an agent of the Intellectual Property Owner]
• Include a formal declaration and electronic or physical signature.

Example Formal declaration:

I hereby state that [Intellectual Property Owner] is the owner of the exclusive rights referenced above and that I am authorized to act on its behalf. On behalf of [Intellectual Property Owner], I hereby state that I have a good faith belief that use of the content in the manner complained of is not authorized by [Intellectual Property Owner], its agents, or the law.

I, [NAME], hereby digitally sign this e-mail message under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America with the additional statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate.
